DPF pressure sensor A circuit range/performance

Vad den betyder

The DPF differential pressure sensor measures the pressure difference across the particulate filter through two hoses. The engine computer uses it to estimate how full the filter is. This code means the reading does not make sense for how the engine is running - most often a hose problem rather than a wiring fault.

Symtom

  • engine warning light
  • DPF regeneration may not run or may run too often
  • possibly reduced power (limp mode)

Troliga orsaker, den vanligaste först

Troliga orsaker, den vanligaste först
No.Orsak
01split, disconnected, blocked or swapped sensor hoses
02failed differential pressure sensor
03water or soot in the sensor hose
04genuinely blocked or damaged DPF
05exhaust leak before the DPF

Vad du ska kontrollera, steg för steg

  1. 01With the exhaust cool, inspect hoses and pressure tappings for splits, blockage and correct routing. Disconnect hoses from the sensor before cleaning them according to the maker's procedure; never blow compressed air into the sensor.
  2. 02Read the sensor with engine off (near zero) and at idle and 3,000 rpm; pressure should rise with rpm.
  3. 03Check for exhaust leaks before the DPF.
  4. 04Replace the sensor if hoses are good and readings are implausible.
  5. 05If readings are plausible but high, investigate the DPF load (P2463/P242F).
